The first international support for Italian organic wine companies

Organic Value offers visibility to Italian organic producers, it connects them to provide specific services useful for promoting and marketing wines in the foreign countries.

Value to the Organic

Organic Value wants to make a contribution to overcome the current limits of the Italian organic wine system in terms of exports.

Organic Value goes to fill a gap in the Italian wine supply chain, which with its 101,000 hectares (between certified surface area and the one in conversion) represents, on a par with Spain, the world leader. The growth of organic viticulture in Italy has been the highest and fastest in the world and today the Italian organic vineyard represents almost 16% of the total, reflecting a production culture increasingly oriented towards environmental sustainability and the wholesomeness of wines.

The Italian organic wine export in 2016 accounted for 3.4% of the total export of wine from Italy, but the trend is growing (1.9% in 2014 and 2.6% in 2015). But the potential for the development of Italian organic wine exports, according to all the most authoritative observers, is very high but to capitalize them it is necessary to develop projects able to aggregate and increase the internationalization capabilities of Italian organic farms.

According to a recent Nomisma Wine Monitor survey, in fact, the 85% of Italian organic wine companies that don’t export at the moment, have declared that they can not do so for the absence of adequate tools to do it. For another 27% are the small size to limit the financial resources needed to conquer foreign markets.

This is the mission of Organic Value that wants to give the most appropriate answers just to make a contribution to overcome the current limits of the Italian organic wine system in terms of exports.
